Overview

This project wasn’t planned. It happened on a slow afternoon, just after the rain.

The city felt hushed—like it had exhaled. Streets were still wet, colors deeper, reflections lingering in puddles. I walked without a destination, letting instinct and light guide me.

I photographed what caught my eye: a single figure under an umbrella, streetlights glinting off slick pavement, raindrops still clinging to windows and leaves. Everything felt familiar, but slightly altered—like the rain had softened the edges of the everyday.

Asheville After Rain is a study in mood, texture, and atmosphere. It’s about finding quiet beauty in overlooked corners, and about what the world looks like when we slow down enough to really see it.

Shot on digital with a 35mm lens. Edited with desaturated tones, soft contrast, and a touch of cinematic grain.
