Overview
There’s a kind of light that only shows up when the day is nearly over—soft, low, golden. The kind that makes everything feel like memory.
This portrait session was about chasing that light.
We met just before sunset and walked slowly through open fields and wooded trails along the Blue Ridge. No real plan—just movement, conversation, and noticing. The light kept shifting, slipping through trees and catching on skin. Every few minutes, it looked entirely new.
I didn’t direct much. I wanted the quiet ease of walking to guide how the portraits felt. The result: a series of moments that feel unposed but deeply present—warm, natural, a little wild around the edges.
Golden Hour Walks is a love letter to natural light, slow pace, and the way golden hour turns the ordinary into something sacred.
Shot on digital with natural light only. Edited with warmth, softness, and just a hint of nostalgia.
